Önemi giderek artan organik tarım faaliyetleri günümüzde birçok ülkede sürdürülmektedir. Ülkemizde, organik tarımda bitkisel üretim ön planda olmakla birlikte, talepteki artışa bağlı olarak organik hayvansal üretimde de önemli gelişmeler yaşanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada organik hayvancılık konusu Ardahan ili örneğinde ele alınmıştır. Coğrafi özelliklerinden dolayı geniş ve verimli otlak alanlarına sahip olan ilde sanayi ve tarımsal faaliyetlerden kaynaklanan çevre kirliği yaşanmadığı için organik hayvancılık açısından oldukça uygun koşullar bulunmaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında Ardahan ilinin organik hayvancılık potansiyeli SWOT analizi ile ortaya konmuş ve bu analiz sonuçları göz önünde bulundurularak organik hayvancılığın geliştirilmesine yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur. Ardahan ilinin organik hayvancılık potansiyeli için yapılan SWOT analizi sonuçlarına göre güçlü yönler grubunda 10, zayıf yönler grubunda 8, fırsatlar grubunda 7 ve tehditler grubunda 6 olmak üzere toplam 31 faktör belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sonuçları ilde yüksek bir organik hayvancılık potansiyeli bulunmasına karşın bu faaliyetin günümüzde henüz hayata geçirilemediğini ortaya koymuştur. İlde organik hayvancılığın gelişimini engelleyenönemli nedenler uygun barınak koşullarının sağlanamaması ve yetiştiricilerin bu konudaki bilgi yetersizliğidir. Ardahan’da Türkgözü ve Aktaş sınır kapılarının bulunması ve organik ürünlere olan talebin sürekli olarak artması organik hayvancılığın gelişmesinde önemli fırsatlar sunmaktadır. Çiftçilere organik hayvancılık konusunda eğitimlerin verilmesi, barınak koşullarının iyileştirilmesi, organik hayvancılığa yönelik teşvik ve desteklerin artırılarak devam ettirilmesi gibi önlemlerle bu faaliyetin geliştirilmesi ve il ekonomisine önemli katkıların sağlanması mümkündür.
The increasing importance of organic agriculture activity is continued in many countries today. In our country, organic farming plants are in the forefront, but due to the increase in demand there are significant developments in organic animal production. In this study, the topic of organic livestock has been discussed in the example of Ardahan or. Due to its geographical characteristics, there are quite suitable conditions in terms of organic livestock because there is no environmental pollution caused by industrial and agricultural activities in the province which has wide and efficient livestock areas. In the framework of the study, the potential of organic livestock in the Ardahan province was revealed by SWOT analysis and the results of this analysis were taken into account with recommendations for the development of organic livestock. According to the results of the SWOT analysis for the organic pet potential of the Ardahan province, a total of 31 factors have been identified, including the strong side group 10, the weak side group 8, the opportunity group 7 and the threat group 6. The results of the study showed that despite the high potential of organic livestock in the province, this activity has not yet been implemented. The main reasons that prevent the development of organic livestock in the province are the failure to provide adequate housing conditions and the lack of knowledge of farmers on this subject. The presence of Turkgözü and Aktaş border doors in Ardahan and the continuous increase in demand for organic products offer significant opportunities in the development of organic livestock. With measures such as training on organic livestock to farmers, improving the housing conditions, increasing the incentives and support for organic livestock, this activity can be developed and significant contributions to the provincial economy can be made.
