Abstract:

The choice of a career is an important decision that affects the entire life of the individual. For the right decision to be made, all the factors that are effective in the choice of a profession must be assessed. Personal characteristics, interests, talents, values, family, socio-economic environment, the material or spiritual return of the profession, employment security are just a few of the factors that influence the choice of a profession. In real life, it is not possible to determine exactly the factors they influence when individuals choose a profession and classify them according to the degree of importance. To solve this situation, Zadeh developed the theory of the foolish crowd. With the incorporation of the theory into the methods of multi-criteria decision making, it has become possible to solve problems with multiple criteria, alternatives and decision makers. Classification of factors affecting the choice of a profession is one of the problems that can be solved by CKKV methods. From the CKKV methods, the foolish TOPSIS method and the qualitative and quantitative data can be processed together and the foolish expressions can be converted into numerical data. In this study, using the BTOPSIS method, which is one of the CKKV methods, the ranking of factors that influence the career preferences of high school students was made.
