Engelli Bireylerle Çalışan Özel Eğitim Öğretmenlerinin Tükenmişlik Düzeyinin Belirlenmesi

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Tekirdağ’da özel eğitim okulu veya merkezlerinde çalışan özel eğitim öğretmenleri tükenmişlik düzeylerinin belirlenmesidir. Araştırmada, veri toplama amacıyla Masclach Tükenmişlik Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Veriler, Tekirdağ ilinde faaliyetlerini sürdüren 7 özel eğitim okulu veya merkezinden toplanmıştır. Araştırmaya toplam 109 öğretmen katılmıştır. Araştırmada özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin tükenmişlik düzeyinin bazı demografik ve mesleki değişkenlere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığı incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, çalışma ortamından memnuniyet, takdir ve iş yükü algısının “Duygusal Tükenme ve Duyarsızlaşma”nın belirleyicileri arasında olduğu; yaş ve çalışma süresinin ise “Kişisel Başarıda Düşme”nin belirleyicileri arasında olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, araştırma grubunda yer alan bireylerin cinsiyetinin veya medeni durumunun tükenmişlik düzeylerini etkilemediği tespit edilmiştir

Examining The Burn-out Level Of Special Education Teachers Working With Disabled Individuals

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to determine the burnout levels of special education teachers working at special education schools or centers in Tekirdağ. In the present study, Maslach Burnout Scale was used to collect data. Data were gathered from 7 special education schools or centers. Totally, 109 teachers participated in the research. In the research, whether or not the burnout levels of special education teachers differed according to certain demographic and vocational variables was examined. The results showed that satisfaction with work environment, appreciation, and the perception of workload were among the determiners of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, and that age and working time were among the determiners of reduced sense of personal accomplishment. Also, it was observed that burnout levels of the participants did not differ according to gender or marital status
