Abstract:

The aim of this research is to determine the impact of the 4MAT teaching model, designed based on learning styles, on the learning-learning process in the two-dimensional art workshop course of the High School of Fine Arts. The method of research is modeled in a semi-experimental pattern. This study, performed with a typical state sample, was carried out in the 9th class II-dimensional art workshop course. After the study on the equality of the groups, 16 students, including the experiment group (n=8) and the control group (n=8) were included in the application. The application process has been made up of 14 weeks. The data was obtained through document review, observation and interview. The data is analyzed by visual analysis technique. In the process of ensuring the validity and reliability of the data, five experts have been requested to help. The results of the research found that the experimental group showed more progress in the expression of the student’s cognitive knowledge, integrating their cognitive knowledge with their applying skills, and in their preferences for learning products than the experimental group’s students. According to this conclusion, it is thought to be useful to apply the model in the IIBSA course.
