Sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin değerler eğitimine ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemeye yönelik olan bu çalışmada betimsel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Çalışma 2013-2014 Eğitim Öğretim yılının ikinci döneminde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini Elazığ il sınırları içerisindeki devlet okullarında görev yapan Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise Elazığ il merkezinde görev yapan 51 Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak (Merter ve Bozkurt, 2014) tarafından hazırlanan bir anket formu kullanılmıştır. Bu anket formu üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Anket formunun birinci bölümünde araştırmaya katılan sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerine ait kişisel bilgiler( cinsiyet, sosyal bilgiler öğretim programını okuma sıklığı, mesleki kıdem ve mezun olunan okul) yer almaktadır. Anket formunun ikinci bölümünde ise değerler eğitimine yönelik sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin görüşlerini tespit etmeye yönelik 22 maddelik anket yer alırken, üçüncü bölümde de öğretmenlerinfazla önem verdiği on değeri sıralamaları için bir adet açık uçlu soru bulunmaktadır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS istatistik programı kullanılmıştır. Veriler çözümlenirken “yüzde”, “frekans” ve “aritmetik ortalama” ile birlikte ilişkisiz örneklem t testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi ANOVA kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda öğretmenlerin büyük bir çoğunluğu değerler eğitiminde okul aile iş birliğinin kurulması ve değerler eğitiminde okuldaki tüm birimlerin iş birliği içerisinde hareket etmesi gerektiğini vurgularken, üniversitelerde değerler eğitimine yönelik bir dersin verilmemesini de eksiklik olarak görmektedirler. Öğretmenler,fazla önemsedikleri değerleri ise sırasıyla hoşgörü, saygı, dürüstlük, adalet ve sevgi olarak belirtmektedirler.
In this study, a visual scan model was used to determine the opinions of social information teachers about the education of values. The study was carried out in the second semester of the 2013-2014 educational year. The universe of research is formed by Social Information teachers who work in the state schools within the Elazığ province borders. The study includes 51 social knowledge teachers who work in the Elazığ province. In the study, a survey form was used as a data collection tool (Merter and Bozkurt, 2014). This form consists of three sections. The first part of the survey form includes personal information of the social information teachers involved in the research (gender, frequency of reading the social information curriculum, professional senior and graduated school). In the second part of the survey form, there are 22 subjects to identify the opinions of the teachers of social information for the education of values, while in the third part there is an open end question for the rankings of the values that the teachers are very interested in. The SPSS statistical program is used for the analysis of data. During the analysis of the data, the "percentage", "frequency" and "arithmetic average" combined with the unrelated sample t test and one-way variance analysis were used ANOVA. As a result of the analysis, a large majority of teachers emphasize that the establishment of school family cooperation in value education and that all units in value education should act in cooperation, while they see that there is no lesson for value education in universities as a lack. Teachers express their values as tolerance, respect, honesty, justice and love.
