Abstract:

Bu çalışma Bursa’da kurulu Emir Sultan vakfının 17.yy başındaki mali tarihini incelemektedir. Emir Sultan vakfı bölgeden ciddi miktarda kırsal gelir elde eden ve Bursa şehrinde varlıkları bulunan devasa bir vakıfdır. Vakıf Celali işgali sonucu 1608 ve 1609 yıllarında mali sıkıntılar yaşamış ancak 1610 ve sonrasında bu sıkıntıları aşabilmişdir. Kısmen yerel koşullardan, kısmen vakfın artan istihdamının yarattığı ilave masraflardan 1616 ve 1617 yılları ile 1620’lerin başlarında vakıfda mali sıkıntıların oluştuğu görülmektedir. Bu çalışma gelir ve gider tablolaları ve fiyat verilerini de içermektedir. Böylece Emir Sultan vakfı ve Bursa iktisadi tarihine yönelik daha kapsamlı çalışmaları teşvik etmesi amaçlanmaktadır
