Alaşehir, Batı Anadolu’da önemli yerleşimlerden biridir. Hristiyanların Anadolu topraklarında kurduğu ilk Yedi Kilise’den biri olarak tarihe geçen kent, Osmanlı Dönemi’nde Türk-İslam özellikli çeşitli yapı türleriyle ön plana çıkmıştır. Bu yapılardan biri olan Alaşehir (Sülün Muslu Paşa) Hamamı, Osmanlı mimarisinin zenginliğini yansıtması yanında, Alaşehir’de geçmişten günümüze ulaşabilmiş tek hamam oluşu açısından da oldukça değerlidir. Osmanlı hamam mimarisinin genel özelliklerini taşıyan Alaşehir (Sülün Muslu Paşa) Hamamı, kadınlara ve erkeklere ayrı hizmet verecek şekilde, çifte bir hamam olarak tasarlanmıştır. Her iki bölümün de sıcaklığı haçvari, üç eyvanlı, iki halvet hücreli plan şemasına sahiptir. Günümüzde kadınlar bölümü kullanılmayan hamamın erkekler bölümü çeşitli eklemeler nedeniyle özgün plan şemasından uzaklaşmaya başlamaktadır.

Alaşehir (Sülün Muslu Pasha) Bath which is one of these structures reflects the richness of the Ottoman architecture. The Alaşehir (Sülün Muslu Pasha) Bath, which carries the general properties of the Ottoman bath architecture, is designed as a double turkish bath which will provide separate services for women and men. Both sections have a scheme as cross vault, three iwans (vaulted or domed space recessed from a central hall or court) and two private rooms. With reference to its caldarium, plan and the name of Sülün Muslu Pasha, we think of the building as being built as the end of the 16th and first quarter of the 17th century, considering it as to be very valuabe since it is the only bath in Alaşehir which has reached the present from the past. Nowadays, the men section of the bath where the women section is not used starts to move away from the original plan diagram due to various joints. In this article, Alaşehir (Sülün Muslu Pasha) Bath was examined in terms of plan and ornamentation properties and was tried to determine the location in Turkish bath’ architecture of the building.
