At Izmir Kemeraltı, the windows of the vast majority of houses which was built in XIX. the late and XX. the early century, were wooden frames and metal Networks. These elements which usually located in the basement and first floors in order to protect the security and also provides the ability to monitor the street without seeing the outside. While wooden lattices are cerated by driving technique, metal networks are formed by combination of riveting and spiral trussing technique. Generally, in these network s that are developed by the "S" and "C" trimming curves, specific development process can not be observed. However, interms of reflecting social and economic structure, decorating type and techniques of time period, they have an important place in Art History
