Abstract:

The adoption of a customer-oriented approach in the provision of health services and the gain of importance of the overall quality management work and practices in health services, today, with the acceleration of global competition, is a inevitable fact. This work, which aims to reveal the applicability of Total Quality Management (TKY) in Public Hospitals, was done at the Antalya Education and Research Hospital, a hospital that received quality certificate. The universe of the study is formed by employees of the Antalya Education and Research Hospital. In the study, the survey method was applied as a data collection tool. The SPSS 15.0 statistical program has been evaluated. In this study, the staff of the hospital have obtained data on the extent to which the overall quality rules are applied and known. The assessment has found a statistically meaningful relationship between the training status of the staff and the vision, mission and quality policies the institution adopts, the leadership of managers in the overall quality management and the tendency of the staff to implement the TKY, the quality training and the staff's feeling sufficient about the TKY.
