Inpresent time, the term “competitive advantage” has become a significant part of the tourism literature. Many countries with the tourism potential are seen to have a cutthroat competition in order to improve the market share and the national income in the international tourism market. The objective of this study is to determine possible factors, which mark out Turkey’s comparative competition power in European Countries from the point of tourism. To serve this objective, datas in The Travel &Tourism Competitiveness Report 2013 published by World Economic Forum (WEF), were used. Some European countries’ and Turkey’s factors determining the competition levels were handled. Competitive factors were gathered in 3 categories. These are; regulatory framework, business environment and infrastructure and human, culturel and natural resources. In addition, Turkey’s competition levels in the reports published by WEF beforehand were informed. Nonetheless, it is tried to determine that positive and negative factors that affects competition power of Turkey in the international tourism sector. In this study which used documentary analysis method as data collection tool based on qualitative research method, descriptive analyses techniques were used to analyze the data. In consequence of these researches, Turkey is at the top in world ranking in terms of rich cultural heritage. It has also been identified that improvements made in air movement infrastructure and tourism investments make positive contributions to the development of the sector. Despite this, it has been identified that Turkey is in a bad state in ranking in terms of environmental sustainability, security, health and hygiene and road transport
