Nowadays, the entrepreneurship is one of the most important subjects. In Today’s technology and information age, there are new oppurtunities arised for entrepreneurs. Therefore the number of entrepreneurs are increasing each day. For that reason, it is essential to find out what factors are effecting people’s entrepreneurial tendencies. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of family as a role model and family support for entrepreneurial tendencies of university students. As a result of the study, the university students entrepreneurshıp tendencies consist of 5 sub-factors as opportunism, innovativeness, the need of success, self-confidence and risk taking. According to the differency test results, there aren’t any significiant differences between these 5 sub-factors and mother’s occupation and family’s child raising attitude. The results also shows that there is a significant difference between family income and need of successand risk taking. In addition, there is also a significant diffrence between the father’s occupation and four dimensios: opportunism, innovativeness, self-confidence and risk taking. Finally a significant difference between having an entrepreneur in the family and all the other five factors has been found
