In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationship between the teacher canditate critical thinking tendencies and writing anxiety. In addition, the research also examines whether the tendencies of critical thinking and writing anxiety differ according to the variables of gender, department, parental education. The research was carried out in Hasan Kalyoncu University, Faculty of Education in the fall semester of 2016-2017 academic year. The study group of the study is composed of 233 teacher candidates who study at Hasan Kalyoncu University Faculty of Education. "Personal Information Form" was prepared by the researcher as data collection tools in the research, "Turkish Writing Anxiety Scale" developed by Ulper (2011) and "Critical Thinking Tendency Scale" developed by Akbıyık (2002) were used. In the analysis of the data, SPSS 21.0 package program was used; Kolmogorov Smirnov Normality Test, descriptive statistics, t test and one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were performed. As a result of the research, a significant relationship between the critical thinking tendency and writing anxiety of the teacher candidates was found at a low level on the negative side.
