Abstract:

The Crimean War, shown as the first example of modern war journalism, including the Ottoman Empire, the Liberation War in our recent history, the Cyprus Peace Movement, the Korean War and the conflicts that occurred in the neighbors of Turkey, are events that the Turkish war journalist has gained significant experience. Over the past 25 years, the developments in the press and communication technologies have also influenced the society’s reporting reflections. Consequently, the information in the fields of war became more demanded by society and brought close tracking of wars. In January 1991, the live broadcast of the First Gulf War showed the last point where technology came. The release of the war in the Gulf in live broadcasts and the Turkey's crawling on the side of the Turkish media has also been a turning point in terms of the journalists.
