Abstract:

Cement raw materials, limestone and schist, are mined from quarry by applied blasting excavation method with backhoe loaders, drilling, compressors and conveyors. Ground limestone and other raw materials, after mixing specific proportions by clinker in rotary kilns is obtained by cooking. According to the desired type of cement; clinker by adding additives such as gypsum, trass, flyash and iron mixed in cement mill. In this way cement is milled to obtain the binder in the powder form. Obtained cement transported and stocked to silos by pneumatic bands and elevators. Then, offered for sale as in bulk or packaged form by the packaging unit. In this study, described the characteristics of the main equipments for the cement plant such as crushers, grinding mills, rotary kiln, cement mills, silos and conveyors
