As the post-Cold War systemic shift influenced the epistemology of international relations, the discipline entered into a new transformation process through the debates of positivism and postpositivism. On account of fractions, separations, and similitude of the structure of system variables, positivist epistemologies and theories failed to explain current practice while the phenomenon of modernity encountered legitimacy crisis. Hereby, Pandora‟s Box was opened again in the all fields of social sciences. With the subsequent interdisciplinary and epistemological interaction, the monopoly of neorealism and neorealist concepts in international relations has expired. Nevertheless, the incapacity of postpositivist theories to have a systematic and holistic approach indicates that it is still early for the paradigm change of the discipline.
