Okuma alışkanlığının kazandırılmasında sınıf öğretmenlerinin sorumluluğu büyüktür. Öğretmenin de temel bir okuma alışkanlığı edinmiş olarak çocuğa iyi örnek olması beklenir. Bu çalışmada Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Sınıf Öğretmenliğinde öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının okuma alışkanlıklarına ilişkin tutum ve görüşleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalıma sonuçlarına göre okuma alışkanlığının sınıf öğretmeni adaylarında yeterince gelişmediği ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu alışkanlığın yeterince kazanılmamasında ailedeki okuma alışkanlığı, daha önceki öğrenim yaşantıları, ekonomik nedenler ve radyo televizyon-internet kullanımının sıklığı gibi nedenler belirtilmiştir. Sınıf öğretmeni adaylarına çeşitli etkinliklerle bu alışkanlığın istenilen düzeye çıkması sağlanmalıdır.
The responsibility of teachers in the classroom is great. The teacher is also expected to be a good example for the child as he has acquired a basic reading habit. In this study, we have been trying to determine the attitudes and opinions of teachers candidates who are studying in the classroom teaching at the University of Çanakkale on March eighteenth on the reading habits. The results show that the reading habit has not evolved enough in the classmates of the teachers. In the absence of this habit, reasons such as reading habits in the family, previous learning experiences, economic reasons and the frequency of radio-TV-internet use are indicated. The class teacher candidates should be provided with various activities to ensure that this habit reaches the desired level.
