Metin dil bilimi, dil çalışmalarında temel birim olarak metni kabul etmekte, metnin anlamını cümlelerin birbirleriyle kurdukları bağlantılarda aramaktadır. Bu bağlamda dilsel açıdan “ metin, birbirini izleyen sıralı ve anlamlı bütünler oluşturan tümceler dizisidir.” diye tanımlanmaktadır. Bu tanım metni oluşturan cümlelerin rastgele sıralanmadığını aralarında her yönden uygun bağlantıların olması gerektiğini göstermektedir. Dolayısıyla metin bir bütün olarak yapısı, işlevi ve onu oluşturan unsurlar arasındaki ilişiklilerle birlikte ele alınmaktadır. Bu nedenle metin dilbilim çalışmalarında bir dilsel olgunun metin olup olmadığını belirleyen metinsellik ölçütleri geliştirilmiştir. Bağdaşıklık ve tutarlılık dilsel bir birimin metin olup olmadığı belirlemede kullanılan metinsellik ölçütlerindendir. Bağdaşıklık metindeki cümlelerin kendi içindeki bağlantısı ve ilişkisiyle şekillenir ve daha çok metnin dilbilgisel görünümüne odaklanır. Tutarlılık ise metnin genel bütünlüğüyle ve kabul edilebilirlikle ilgilenir. Bir metnin bağdaşıklık durumu metnin yüzey yapısındaki dilsel unsurlarla sağlanırken tutarlılık durumu ise metnin derin yapısında anlamlar arasındaki mantıksal ilişkilerle sağlanır. Bu çalışmada Türk edebiyatının tanınmış yazarlarından olan Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil‟in Ferhunde Kalfa adlı hikâye metni bağdaşıklık ve tutarlılık ölçütlerine göre incelenecektir. Bağdaşıklık ve tutarlılık görünümü hikâyeden seçilen alıntılarla örneklendirilecektir.
Text language science acknowledges the text as a basic unit in language studies, seeking the meaning of the text in the links that the phrases build with each other. In this context, from a linguistic point of view, "the text is a series of all-sets that make up orderly and meaningful units that follow each other." It is defined. This definition indicates that the phrases that make the text are not randomly ranked and that there must be appropriate links in all directions. Therefore, the text as a whole is addressed together with the relationships between its structure, function and the elements that make it. Therefore, text linguistics studies have developed textality standards that determine whether a linguistic phenomenon is a text. Connectivity and consistency are one of the textality criteria used in determining whether a language unit is a text. Connectivity is formed by the connection and relationship of the sentences in the text itself and focuses more on the linguistic appearance of the text. The consistency concerns the overall integrity and acceptability of the text. The condition of consistency of a text is provided by the linguistic elements in the text's surface structure, while the condition of consistency is provided by the logical relations between the meanings in the text's deep structure. In this study, the story of Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil, a well-known writer of Turkish literature, named Ferhunde Kalfa, will be studied according to the criteria of consistency and consistency. The appearance of consistency and consistency will be illustrated with the chosen quotes from the story.
