This research was conducted to evaluate the communication skills of the camp leaders who served in youth camps of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The sample of this descriptive study consisted of 400 active camp leaders. Personal Information Form, and the Communication Skills Assessment Scale (CSAS) developed by Korkut (1996) was used for data collection. In our study, the Cronbach's alpha value of the items was found to be 0.93. In data analysis, independent group t-test and ANOVA were used. The mean CSAS score of the camp leaders was 106.0±12.5, indicating good level of communication skills. The CSAS scores of the camp leaders increase with the increased working time in a youth camp, and this difference was significant (p<0.05). The communication skills of the youth camp leaders were also analyzed according to their duties in the youth camps, and the scores of the program managers were found to be the highest. There was no difference in communication skills in terms of age groups, gender, marital status, and being undergraduate or graduate (p>0.05).
