Abstract:

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of the enriched 5E model on students’ academic achievement relate to “Solar System and Beyond: Space Riddle” unit. A quasi-experimental research method was used in this study. The sample of this study is composed of 72 grade 7 students at Trabzon Mimar Sinan Primary school. Achievement test’s KR-20 reliability coefficient was calculated as 0.86. Dependent t-test was used in to group comparisons and in-depended t-test was used comparisons between groups. Students’ achievement test scores of the pre-testpost-test and delayed test were analyzed with F-test (ANOVA). At the end of the study; it was found out that there was a significant difference (t(70)= 4,345; p<.05) on students’ academic achievement in favor of experiment group compared with the control group
