Ekonomik büyüme bağlamında başarılı bölge örnekleri incelendiğinde, belirli sanayi dallarının bu bölgelerde yoğunlaştığı ya da kümelendiği görülmektedir. Bu doğrultuda, literatürde endüstriyel yoğunlaşma ile bölgesel ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişkilerin incelendiği çok sayıda çalışma söz konusudur. Bu çalışmaların önemli bir kısmında ise, endüstriyel yoğunlaşma sonucu ortaya çıkan dışsallıklar ve uzmanlaşmanın bölgesel ekonomik büyümeye yaptıkları katkıların altı çizilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, endüstriyel yoğunlaşma ve uzmanlaşmanın bölgesel ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkilerinin Türkiye imalat sanayi özelinde incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaçla, literatürde ortaya çıkmış çeşitli yaklaşımlar ekseninde elde edilen yoğunlaşma ve uzmanlaşma değişkenlerinin 26 Düzey 2 bölgeye ait kişi başına gelir üzerindeki etkileri 2006-2014 yılları arası dönem kapsamında ekonometrik olarak analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonucu elde edilen bulgular, endüstriyel yoğunlaşmaya ilişkin dışsallıklar ve uzmanlaşmanın bölgesel ekonomik büyümede önemli belirleyiciler olduklarına işaret etmektedir. Ayrıca endüstriyel ölçekte ulaşılan sonuçların, bölgesel ekonomik büyüme bağlamında MAR ve Porter dışsallıklarını desteklediğinden bahsedilebilir.
When the examples of successful regions in the context of economic growth are studied, it is seen that certain branches of industry are concentrated or accumulated in these regions. In this regard, the literature is the subject of numerous studies in which the relationship between industrial concentration and regional economic growth is studied. In a significant part of these studies, the outskirts arising from industrial concentration and the contribution of specialization to regional economic growth are six. In this study, the aim is to study the impact of industrial concentration and specialization on regional economic growth in the manufacturing industry of Turkey. For this purpose, the impact of the concentration and specialization variables achieved in the axis of the various approaches emerged in literature on the per capita income of the 26 Level 2 region was econometrically analyzed within the period 2006-2014. The findings from the analysis indicate that the outskirts and specialization in relation to industrial concentration are important determinants in regional economic growth. It can also be stated that the results achieved on an industrial scale support MAR and Porter externalities in the context of regional economic growth.
