Nüfusun değişimi üzerinde önemli bir paya sahip olan göçlerin miktarı, yönü, göç etme nedenlerinin yanı sıra göçe katılanların sosyoekonomik niteliklerinin belirlenmesine yönelik çalışmalar göç araştırmalarında ön plana çıkmaktadır. Bunlar içinde göçe katılanların cinsiyet yapısı, kadın veya erkek nüfusun göç hareketine ne düzeyde katıldığı ve bu durumun göç alan ve göç veren alanlarda meydana getirebileceği sosyoekonomik değişikliklerin tespiti açısından önem taşımaktadır. Göçler nüfusun sayısal değişimi yanında hem göç alan hem de göç veren alanların nüfusun sosyoekonomik niteliklerini önemli ölçüde değiştirme etkisine sahiptir. Bu çalışmada 2014-2015 döneminde Türkiye’de iller arasında gerçekleşen göç hareketi cinsiyet bakımından incelenerek cinsiyet bazında illerde oluşan nüfus değişimi ve göç etkinliği ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bunun için TÜİK’in 2014-2015 dönemi ADNKS nüfus sayım sonuçları ve göç istatistiklerinden yararlanılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda elde edilen veriler Excel programına girilmiş ve göç devinimi ve göç etkinliği yöntemleri kullanılarak il düzeyinde kadın ve erkek nüfusta göç etkinliği ve bu durumun cinsiyet bazında meydana getirdiği nüfus değişimi hesaplanmıştır. İl düzeyinde tespit edilen bu oranlar ArcGIS 10.3 programı ile dağılım haritaları yapılarak 2014-2015 döneminde meydana gelen göçlerin cinsiyet bazında gösterdiği özellikler açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır.
