Abstract:

Humour is the skill of understanding ridiculous points of incidents and events and a way of expressing comic things. Humour reflects the way of understanding the world and universe which it belongs, the way of thinking, meanings that attributed to existence. Anything about the life can be topic of humour. For this reason, humours’ content and understanding area is wide. It is wrong to limit humour for the aim of laughing because humour can be found in satire and anger. Humorous poems have important place in minstrel poem tradition. In every poem of minstrel literature, humorous elements can be used. Minstrels expresses social problems, the events that they unpleasant with their humorous poems, they see people, society, period and management from humour window. From this point, minstrels both make people laugh and also criticize minutely. Woman Minstrels who have important duties in minstrel tradition have lots of humorous poems as they have many other poems. In this study, humours legends of woman minstrels will be studies and humorous elements in the poems will be covered
