Apart from the extent of the violence is experienced, and regardless of its consequences, it affects everyone as a social phenomenon. The fact that who are exposed to violence and who make the violence they are shaped in the same cultural pool that requires the cultural codes of that cultural pool to be examined. Especially the perception of violence against women as a judicial case and a private area in our country prevents this process from being read correctly. However, violence is not a individual/personal event but a product of a social memory. For this reason, recent social and economic adjustments have remained below expectation. The most important outcome of violence is learned helplessness. The fact that if it is learned, it is a reference for the link to the cultural codes. We know that communication, problem solving skills (coping skills of the individual, coping with life stressors), self-esteem, parental attitudes, etc. situations are learned and shaped within the cultural structure. For these reasons, it is considered that the event should be evaluated and examined on cultural codes apart from economic and legal frameworks. For this purpose, the cultural aspect of violence against women is examined and it is aimed to develop proposals and solutions for socio-economic problems of women.
