Abstract:

In this study, method of field study has been used in the research conducted in order to find out the criterion of news broadcasting of Turkish journalists and the factors that influence these criterions. In the research, questionnaire technique has been preferred as a data collection tool. The sample of the study has been comprised of 175 journalists such as news reporters, photojournalist, cameraman and directors of news center working in Ankara bureau of media organs making national broadcast.Descriptive statistics have been used in the examination of the demographic features of the media employees and in the evaluation of the factors that influence the criterion of news broadcasting. The relations between the factors influencing the news broadcasting criterion of the media employees and demographic features has been examined through using Non-linear Canonical Correlation Analysis. As a result of the research, positive oriented and a high level of relation has been found out between the criterion of news evaluation and demographic factors.
