The recognition of all grammatical characteristics in general – specifically prefixes and suffixes – of the Ancient Anatolian Turkish which is accepted as the establishment period of the Western Turkish has a great importance in writing the ancient Turkish grammar. In this study, we will try to reveal various functions of the suffixes that derive nouns from nouns which lost their function in the Turkish of Turkey that is the continuation of the Ancient Anatolian Turkish, but are used in the Ancient Anatolian Turkish which is the establishment period of the Western Turkish, grounding our research on the scanning glossary. For instance, the –lIk suffix that has many functions in the Turkish of Turkey is observed to function as the equative suffix of –CA in the period of Ancient Anatolian Turkish.
