In poetry tradition forming redif as word or phrase had been used by many poets. In our report, Ahmed Paşa, Hâmidî, Djem Sultan, Karamanlı Aynî and Celîlî’s ghazals "elimden ne gelir" "What can I do?" is examined and in Divan poetry tradition lover's weakness and despair towards his beloved is discussed. Furthermore, to better understand the mood they are in and to see the cause of their despair, poets are evaluated in the context of lover/slave-beloved-king. Poet/lover tells his weakness and despair praising his beloved/king’s beauty elements, and at some point of view he tries to soften beloved/king and he’s aware that his bad situation can be solved only by his beloved/king’s desire. For this reason, he tries to flatter his beloved and wants to convey his message.
