This research was conducted at Haseki Training and Research Hospital on the patients‘ level of awareness of patients’ rights to examine the relationship between demographic characteristics. The questionnaire prepared for this purpose, in July 2010 admitted by hospital Haseki Education Research, was administered to 110 patients. The findings of the study were evaluated for statistical analysis using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 17.0 program. In the study patients' demographic characteristics were analyzed through frequency, percentage descriptive statistics, to determine level of awareness of patients' rights, minimum, maximum, standard deviation, mean statistics were utilized and t-test and correlation analyses utilized to elaborate on demographic characteristics of patients' rights to determine awareness levels. . The result of research, awareness level of patients on the patient rights were found at the average level. Concluded that, awareness of patients' rights on public service and security were founded higher than the awareness of patients’ rights on information and personel. Furthermore, the statistically sigrificant correlation was found between patients‘ awareness on the patient rights and marital status characteristic of patients’. Also, a statistically sigrificant correlation on awareness of patients’ rights was found between, general service with security awareness and personnel with information of the sub-dimensions of scale awareness of patients rights.
