Various tools and materials are required to conduct the education properly. Among these which could differ according to circumstances of the period, the most common is lesson-books. Books are the oldest and widespread educational resources. Apparently, the departments of Turkish education have been on increase for the last 10 years. In this respect, experienced instructors and field books for the departments are required. In Turkish education, many books were published with different titles and by different publishers. The aim of this study is to determine the candidates’ opinions as regards books of Turkish field education. Determining their opinions as regards selecting books in Turkish field and their position to benefit the books are the sub-goals of the study. In the study, interviewing is used as a method to collect qualitative data. The data was collected through a half-structured interview form. The participants are those who were chosen by scale modelling from purposeful sampling methods among the candidates studying in Turkish education departments in Çukurova University. From the interviews, the data obtained were analyzed through content analysis. Questions were asked about how the candidates follow a way, what they consider, whether the writer, the publishing company and the contents of the book are effective while choosing books about field education. Questions were prepared about the candidates’ position and frequency to benefit the book and the appropriateness of the books with the contents and programs of the field lessons.
