Osmanlı Devleti’nde sultan ailesi ve devlet adamları eliyle kurulan vakıfların yanı sıra, çok sayıda küçük ölçekli yerel vakıf da bulunmaktadır. Vakıf kurumunun Osmanlı toplumundaki sosyal dayanışmaya olan katkısının ve toplumca ne oranda benimsendiğinin ortaya konulabilmesi için halk tarafından kurulan mütevazı ölçüdeki vakıfların da kuruluş ve işleyiş mekanizmalarının araştırılması gerekir. İşte bu çalışmada Erzincanlı bir tüccar olan Seyyid Hüseyin’in, Bursa’nın Hisar semtinde kurduğu mini külliye şeklindeki vakfı ele alınmıştır
In the Ottoman State, in addition to the foundations established by the hands of the sultan family and state men, there are also many small-scale local foundations. In order to determine the contribution of the foundation to social solidarity in the Ottoman society and how much it is accepted by society, the foundation in the humble scale established by the people must also investigate the organization and functioning mechanisms. This is what the study has been addressed by Seyyid Hussein, an Erzincanlı trader, the foundation in the form of a mini-city that the Bursa established in the Hisar district.
