Hatay had been among the lands which had been the subject of the share. Armenians living in the region were shown favor, even provoked and supported against Turkish people to seize Hatay which had a strategic advantage in the region. France is one of the states that had a first degree influential on the emergence of Armenians incidents in the region. The French had spent a lot of effort to convert the Armenians in to Catholic religion and have them on their side as supporters in return they wanted to own the Hatay territory . For this purpose, France had wanted to achive his goal by provoking Armenians. As a result, they had wanted to establish an independent state of Armanian as the long dreamt dream. However, France had never wanted to have an independent state in the territory they had been controlling.
