As far the history of colonialism is concerned, the primary aim of colonialism as a system is to erase the culture, history, language, religion, and in short, identity of the colonised people and replace them with its own. This study is intended to explain how Algeria almost lost its mother tongue under the disidentification policies of a 130-year French colonization period and how and why France used French in the related country, and determine the place and significance of this language in Algerian literature.
