The purpose of this study is to determine related to Turkish perceptions of teacher candidates by means of metaphors. Phenomenology which is a qualitative research method was used in the study. The sample of study consisted of 142 students who study Departments of Turkish Education and Turkish Language and Literature at the Kâzım Karabekir Education Faculty. The data were collected with a form that need to fill the space and consists of only one question. Content analysis technique was used at the analysis of data. As a result of research it was understood that Teacher candidates can use different knowledge areas and they can think creative in period of metaphor development.
