Türk eğitim tarihi incelediğinde Tanzimat döneminde geçekleştirilen eğitimi yenileştirme çabaları kapsamında, öğretmen yetiştirme sorunu da ele alınarak, yeni açılan Rüşdiyelere öğretmen yetiştirmek amacıyla, 16 Mart 1848‟de İstanbul‟da Darülmûallimin adıyla ilk öğretmen yetiştiren okulun açıldığı görülmektedir. 16 Mart 1848‟den günümüze kadar geçen 164 yıllık zaman içerisinde, çağın ve toplumun ihtiyaç ve beklentileri dikkate alınarak, eğitim sistemimizin her kademesi için öğretmen yetiştirmek amacıyla yeni öğretmen okullarının açıldığı, farklı öğretmen yetiştirme modellerinin geliştirildiği bilinmektedir. Bu çalışmada, genel anlamda ilköğretime öğretmen yetiştirmenin ana hatları çizilirken, özel anlamda ise öğretmen yetiştiren kurumlardan olan Kastamonu Kız İlköğretmen Okulu incelenmiştir. Bu okul gerek amaç, gerek yönetim, gerekse eğitim- öğretim faaliyetleri açısından irdelenmiştir. Okulun kuruluş gerekçeleri, fiziksel yapıları, öğrenci ve öğretim elemanı profilleri, öğretim programları, sosyal ve kültürel faaliyetleri detaylı olarak ortaya konmuş; sonuç olarak da ülkemize 1956-1975 yılları arasında birçok mezun veren bu okulun sahip olduğu imkanların, uygulanan ders programlarının, kadrolarının ve fiziki yapılarının önemli birer faktör olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
When the Turkish education history is examined, in the context of the efforts to renew the education passed in the Tanzimat period, the problem of teaching is also addressed, with the aim of teaching the newly opened Rüşdiyelers, in 16 March 1848"in Istanbul"in the name of Darülmûallimin the first teacher-training school was opened. In the 164 years from March 16, 1848 to today, it is known that, taking into account the needs and expectations of the age and society, new teaching schools were opened in order to train teachers for every stage of our education system, and different teaching models were developed. In this study, the main lines of teaching in primary education are drawn up in general, while in particular, the Kastamonu Girl Primary Teacher School, which is from the institutions that educate teachers, is studied. This school needs to be aimed, needs to be managed, needs to be educational-educational activities. The school’s founding reasons, physical structures, profile of students and teachers, teaching programs, social and cultural activities have been detailed; as a result, many graduates from 1956 to 1975 have found that the facilities of this school, the courses applied, staff and physical structures are an important factor in our country.
