It is aimed by this study to determine the opinions of the Science and Technology- Natural Sciences prospective teachers with regards to their Science and Technology-Natural Sciences Teacher’s Special Field Qualifications. The study is conducted with 105 prospective teachers, studying at Celal Bayar University, Faculty of Education in Fall Semester of the Academic Year 2014-2015 in the 4th grade. It can be stated that the study is a qualitative since it is aimed to determine the opinions of the prospective teachers. The data of the study is collected by utilizing the opinion forms and the semi-structured interviews. The data obtained from the study is analysed by the content analysis method. According to the obtained findings; it is thought that the prospective teachers perceive their Natural Sciences/Science and Technology Teacher’s Special Field qualifications at moderate level. Prospective teachers participated in this study perceived their Science and Technology Teacher’s Special Field qualifications mostly as field (physics, chemistry, biology) knowledge. Beside this, it is revealed that the prospective teachers expressed the most their opinions on the ‘planning the learning-teaching process’ aspect among the six special field aspects. Along with this, it is concluded that the prospective teachers provided opinions on five of the six special field qualifications; but that they didn’t state any opinion on the ‘collaboration with school, family and society’ step. Setting off from these results, it is thought that reorganization of the course contents towards the special field within the contents of the Natural Sciences/Science and Technology Teacher programs of the universities will contribute to that the prospective teachers graduate by being equipped with these special fields
