In this research it is aimed to examine the decision making strategy and scientific literacy of university students in terms of variances such as sex, class level, mothers’ occupation, fathers’ occupation, number of sibling, high school and study department. With this aim, 508 students as 379 females and 129 males were having education in primary school teaching and science teaching departments in education faculty of a middle-sized university in northern of Turkey in fall semester of 2014-2015 educational years were included within the scope of the study. The study was conducted with survey method. As data collection tools, information form developed by researchers and “Science and Technological Literacy Level Scale” and “Decision-making Strategies Scale” were used. The obtained data were analyzed in SPSS 15.0 program. Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient of the “Science and Technological Literacy Level Scale” was determined as .53.The study was conducted with survey method. As data collection tools, information form developed by researchers and “Science and Technological Literacy Level Scale” and “Decision-making Strategies Scale” were used. The obtained data were analyzed in SPSS 15.0 program. At the end of the analysis, it was seen that science literacy and decision-making skill differed significantly depending on the grade level. Moreover, a negative significant relationship was determined between these scales.
