This study aimed to reveal the perceptions of pedagogical formation trainees about the formation education through metaphors and explanations they brought to the metaphors. The study group consists of 184 students who are studying at Fırat University during 2013-2014 academic year. Metaphors and explanations that teacher candidates produce are grouped into 10 categories, which are a source of knowledge and enlightenment, a new hope, an experience-giving practice, an instrument of torture, a necessity, an embodiment of shaping and shaping, an education type that should be terminated, a short-term experience, a remedy for deficiencies and frustration. In the study, it is emphasized that the pedagogic formation education is the source of information and enlightenment, fulfills the needs of -training, forms the teacher candidates in terms of vocation, brings experience, and is an obligation to be a teacher. However, it is stated that there are serious problems (e.g. intensive education, accommodation problems, loss of time and money, and economic problems) in the pedagogical formation education, so this education should be revised. According to these results, the participants express the satisfaction of taking education in the pedagogic formation course, but complain the problems in the process, and state that some improvements must be done in the program. If the pedagogic formation education continues, the price must be reduced, the accommodation and nutrition problems must be solved, formation education should be given during undergraduate education of the participants, and a long processed and more practical education must be given instead of accelerated one.
