This study was planned in order to develop an achievement test which measures the number and operation concepts and skills in 48 86 months old children The sample of this study was formed children with a total of 865 children who ranging 48 86 months While In order to investigate the reliability of the test interior consistency coefficient was estimated and the KR 20 value was found to be 98 for all the test to the test retest The Pearson Moment Multiplication Correlation Coefficient calculated between the two tests was found to be r= 95 The results of the analyses showed that the number and operation concepts skills have statistically significant differences between the age groups and the number and operation skills increase as the child’s age increases There is no significant difference between the girls and boys Key Words: Maths teaching concept of number addition and substraction operations
