Organizational relationships and activities usually depend on the nature of the work they do and the economic system in which they operate The nature of the work however could be affected by many factors Increasingly changing environment for example forces firms to be more flexible more adaptable in providing organizational competence Here Total Quality Management TQM and Organizational Learning OL are studied as two crucial approaches that aim to develop organizational abilities and competence This study specifically examines the relationships between TQM and OL focusing on the role of TQM on the diffusion of learning occured at individual level through the firm and on the institutionalization of OL Keywords: Individual Learning Organizational Learning Total Quality Management Institutionalization
