In this study the effects of gender the period of attendance at the kindergarten the education level of the mother the mother’s profession number of children in the house and the effects during birth were studied on the language improvement levels of children between the ages of 5 6 attending kindergarten in lover socio economic regions The study was carried out 110 girls and 122 boys total of 232 children in the city of Ankara Turkey Gathered data was analyzed with the Descoeudres Language Test Peabody Drawing Word Test Dictionary and Language Test using the SPSS 10 0 statistical program The results of the test scores revealed that gender the education level of the mother the profession of the mother number of children in the house and the effects of birth on the children between the ages of 5 6 attending kindergarten did not really have any effect The duration of attendance at the kindergarten did not have any effect on the Language Test but was effective on Dictionary and Language Test and Peabody Drawing Word Test Key Words: Kindergarten Language Improvement Lover Socio Economic Level
