In order to adopt the Millenium It is also necessary to adopt the technological changings The point which was reached in the field of technology and rapid developments in our time caused important changings on teachers’ missions The reflections of these changings should take place in curriculums and thus the curriculums should be developed in this parallel In our country Faculties of Education are the source for teacher training In 1997 with the proposal of Higher Education Bo ard the higher education programmes were re constructed in terms of curriculum Therefore this study was carried out to evaluate the elementary school mathematics education department from undergraduate students’ perspective In the study a 14 item questionnarie was developed in order to evaluate the elementary school mathematics department from undergraduate students’view The questionnarie form comprises 5 sections under the headings of; the questions about the programme’s objectives the questions about programme’s content the questions about instruction procedure the questions about testing and evaluation and the questions about practicum The questionnarie was applied to the undergraduate students who attend their last semester at elementary school mathematics education department in Gazi University n=109 The findings gathered from data analysis implies that the students expressed their reflections about curriculum design specification of the objectives specification of the content learning and teaching procedure and evaluation Key Words: Mathematics curriculum curriculum development elementary school mathematics education department
