The purpose of this qualitative research is to determine the concept competencies of undergraduate students attending to Psychological Counselling and Guidance programme on biological causes of human behaviours The subject of the research consists of 121 first grade undergraduate students who attended to Psychological Consuling and Guidance programme in Cukurova University in 2004 2005 academic year In the study the students were asked to define 13 genetical concepts and 12 neurological concepts which express biological causes of human behaviours and to relate these concepts with human behaviours Based on the document analysis it was concluded that more than half of 121 students are competent on defining seven of 13 genetical concepts and on defining nine of 12 neurological concepts; but more than half of the students aren’t competent on relating all of the total 25 genetical and neurological concepts with human behaviours Keywords: Biological causes of behaviours undergraduate students of Psychological Counselling and Guidance programme concept competence
