In this study the problems with which SMEs meet are studied and the effects of such problems on business performance of planning strategies as relating to elimininate these problems were investigated Collected data from 2002 SMEs Small and Medium Enterprises in Mersin and Aksaray were subjected to Ordinal Logistic Regression Analysis In result of this analysis it was found that the problems of “marketing strategies’ development” and “product and its services pricing” are generally effective on the level of business performance Nevertheless statistically significant relationships were found between “producing goods and services according to the customer’s needs” and “offering new products” and “general level of business performance” as well as “the success probability of achieving long period gools” Key Words: Performance Management and SMEs
