So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether 6th 7th and 8th grade primary school students sought assistance from their friends to deal with their conflicts; if so what conflicts students asked assistance and what strategies students thought their friends used to resolve these conflicts In addition reasons indicated by students for not asking friends’ help were examined The data for this research were collected from primary school students by using a questionnaire developed by the researcher Approximately half of the students reported that they asked help from their friends however girls were more likely to did so than boys Verbal and physical aggression conflicting ideas jealousy disputes related physical space and playground disputes were among the conflicts students took their friends to resolve Students said that their friends applied such constructive strategies as talking offering ideas mediating listening finding solution and reconciling in dealing with their disputes The reasons for not seeking friends’ help were grouped into three main categories of student related friend related and problem related reasons Key words: conflict conflict resolution friends’ help
