:The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of educational orientation suggestions based on Educational Orientation Proposal Form on students 8217; decision on school type and major selection in secondary school Sample for this study consisted of 466 secondary school students attended three different typed of secondary schools called academic vocational technique and fine art 259 female and 207 male students participated to the study Data were gathered by a questionnaire developed by the researcher and information derived from Educational Orientation Proposal Form Frequencies percentages and the c2 technique were used to analysis data Results showed that although students have not taken into account the suggestions derived from Educational Orientation Proposal Form for their decisions on school type and major selection there is a consistency between recommendations of Educational Orientation Proposal Form and students 8217; current school type and major Students who have taken into consideration the suggestions elicited from Educational Orientation Proposal Form and all students in the sample were found similar in terms of their views on the appropriateness of their school type and major to their ability and interests and satisfaction with their decisions Consequently the application of Educational Orientation Proposal Form have not been found effective on Students school type and major selection Keywords:Educational Orientation Proposal Form school type educational major
