Businesses and employees are trying to adapt to the new work life that occured in the line with the changing environmental conditions In this new work life one of the most important common areas for the businesses and employees is grouped under the concept of career The new career understanding presents a transition from traditional career understanding to an unlimited more flexible and more individual oriented understanding depending on individual and organizational conditions The new career understanding and the approaches in this context that are studied very intensively in the career literature are generally discussed in a theoretical framework in Turkish career studies In this study the transition from the traditional career understanding to the new career understanding the causes of this transition and the basic qualifications of the new career understanding are tried to be explained Then the findings of the research conducted in this framework are given The research findings are paralel to the literature and revealed that time is required for new career understanding to be exactly implemented Keywords: Traditional Career Understanding New Career Understanding
