Abstract:

Individuals carry out activities in solidarity as a collective organization within the partnership by associations. As a non-governmental organizations associations are common type of organizations not only in Turkey but also all over the world. Associations are founded at all aspects of life as women, environment, health, rights and advocacy; naturally perceives the “education” in their working area. In this study, educational associations considered primarly as the center of associationalism in the United States, Germany, France and England. They were researched in the context of their structure, operation and organizational goals. In this research, the aims of associations were identified by individual countries. In general, their aims were considered like advocating for their members, organizing vocational training courses, preparing a variety of educational publications, having a whip-round, providing new projects to the government about education and promoting carrying out these projects. Structurally, these are associations have got millions of members compared to our country. The high rate of associationalism in these countries is a remarkable factor. Research was done using by “literature scanning technique”. Information about the objectives and activities of associations were obtained by accessing their web pages.
