The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between organizational cynicism, job satisfaction and job performance and whether a mediating effect of job satisfaction on the relationship between the organizational cynicism and the job performance or not. The sample of the study consists of the total 105 academicians working in Bayburt and Karadeniz Technical Universities. The research results show that organizational cynicism partially and negatively affected both job satisfaction and job performance, and job satisfaction totally and positively affected job performance, and however job satisfaction had a full mediating effect on the relationship between organizational cynicism and job performance.
