The aim of this study was to develop activities according to Dual Situated Learning Model for 7th grade Force and Motion unit about work and energy concepts and to determine these activities effectiveness on students' conceptual change and retention. Pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design was used in this study. The study was carried out with twenty three 7th grade students. A concept test developed by the researchers with seven two- tier items and were employed as pre-, post- and delayed test to collect data. Results showed that the Dual Situated Learning Model is effective in providing students' conceptual change and retention. However, it has also been observed that some alternative conceptions have still remained. Key Words: Dual Situated Learning Model, conceptual change, work and energy
