The aim of this study is to create a shorted form of the ?Perceived Organizational Support Scale (POSS)? developed by the researcher and to conduct a validity and reliability analysis. The population of this study composed of teachers working in state and private basic education schools of Turkey in the 2010-2011 academic year. The main study data of the doctoral dissertation of researcher was used as the study data. The analysis was carried out with 785 data. The Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), two split-half reliability analyses, total item correlation, Cronbach alpha coefficient and a Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were used to analyse the data. As a result of the study, POSS which has 65 items and three sub-categories as organizational justice, supervisors support and organizational rewards and job conditions originally, has reached a sturcture consists of 28 items and 3 factors. After CFA analysis, it has seen that NFI, NNFI, IFI, and RFI goodness of fit indices are exellent, GFI, AGFI, RMR and RMSEA goodness of fit indices are accetable. In addition, the reliability coefficeints are above .70, so that it can be said that the scale is reliable. In conclusion, it can be determined that the shortened form of the POSS consisting of 28 items developed to be administered to primary education teachers is a reliable and valid scale which can be used in studies to measure the perception of organisational support of primary and secondary teachers.
