Bu araştırmada öğretmen adaylarının iletişim becerileri algıları cinsiyet, öğrenim görülen bölüm, sınıf düzeyi, uzun süre yaşanılan yerleşim birimi, mezun olunan lise, sosyal paylaşım sitelerini kullanma durumu ve sıklığı değişkenleri açısından incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi’nde 1. ve 2. sınıfında öğrenim gören 315 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Öğretmen adaylarının iletişim becerilerine yönelik algılarını değerlendirmek için, Korkut (1996) tarafından geliştirilen “İletişim Becerilerini Değerlendirme Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Ölçeğin güvenirliğine yönelik yapılan analizler sonucunda, ölçeğin toplam Cronbach Alfa (?) değeri .88 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Mann Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis testi kullanılmıştır. İletişim becerilerine ilişkin öğretmen adaylarının değerlendirmelerinden elde edilen puanlara göre; cinsiyete, öğrenim görülen bölüme, sınıf düzeyine ve uzun süre yaşanılan yerleşim birimine göre istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir fark olduğu; mezun olunan liseye, sosyal paylaşım sitelerini kullanma durumuna ve sıklığına göre anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuca göre öğretmen adaylarının iletişim becerileri algılarının yüksek düzeyde olduğu görülmektedir.
